Tensor Builds World’s First Personal Robocar with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

OCI delivers the performance, security, and cost efficiency behind Tensor’s first AI agentic vehicle

Oracle AI World, LAS VEGAS – October 13, 2025 — Tensor, an American AI company dedicated to building agentic products for individual consumers, is using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI infrastructure to develop its Tensor Foundation Model. This model powers perception, prediction, and planning for the Tensor Robocar, the world’s first fully autonomous and agentic vehicle built for private ownership. With OCI, Tensor has been able to accelerate AI training and large-scale simulations, helping bring its robocar and future AI projects to market faster.

Tensor’s goal is to deliver a safe, privacy-first, transformative mobility experience, and its Robocar has been designed and built from the ground up to achieve that. Every part of the design and system is engineered to serve AI perception, safety, and reliability. Achieving this requires training, deploying, and evolving a foundation model that processes data from 37 cameras, five LiDARs, and 11 radars per vehicle. To turn this constant stream of multimodal sensor data into reliable driving decisions, Tensor needed infrastructure that was not only highly reliable, secure, and scalable, but also capable of supporting strict global safety standards and ensuring user privacy. Tensor selected OCI to support these requirements as it provides flexible, on-demand GPU compute instances for advanced AI training, high-performance networking for massive data streams, and a security-first design that helps safeguard privacy and compliance.

OCI has helped Tensor cut compute costs, boost training efficiency, and speed large-scale simulation and multimodal AI. These improvements help Tensor accelerate testing and production while keeping engineers focused on innovation, not infrastructure.
