Tensor takes image quality to a whole new level with our advanced AI-powered Imaging Signal Processor (ISP).

Unlike traditional ISPs that rely on fixed rules, Tensor’s AI-driven ISP learns from real-world driving data to deliver sharper, clearer images in any condition.

For example, traditional ISPs can get confused by the colors of traffic lights when the sun is shining directly behind them, or when distinguishing between red and yellow lights. Our AI ISP outperforms in these situations, delivering accurate and clear colors. It also excels in low-light and nighttime conditions, capturing crisp images of bright traffic lights, countdown timers, and directional arrows that are essential for safe driving.

Meticulously positioned throughout the vehicle, Tensor’s cameras are optimized for maximum coverage and redundancy, minimizing blind spots to enhance safety during lane changes, intersections, and parking. Long-range cameras detect objects up to 1,640 feet away, while mid-range cameras provide precise monitoring of the surrounding environment.

Special fisheye cameras detect near-range objects around, synchronized precisely with Tensor Sentinel blind-spot lidars. Infrared LEDs enhance these cameras, enabling visibility even in complete darkness.

Tensor can “see” even under the chassis through its unique under-chassis cameras. Your personal Robocar could be turned off and turned on anywhere. It is critical for the Tensor Robocar to check every angle after turning on and before it makes any moves – small children, pets, or anything hidden beneath the car or behind the tires. To ensure these cameras function reliably, special mechanical retractable and cleaning systems are designed for these under-chassis cameras.
