Locations

  • San Jose, California, US (Salary Range: $75k—$300k USD)

Responsibilities

  • Establish a comprehensive vehicle performance development and validation framework, monitor vehicle performance trends, analyze user pain points, and track updates in performance regulations and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to define Vehicle Target Specifications (VTS) and conduct feasibility assessments, ensuring alignment with internal performance requirements and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the breakdown of overall performance targets into module-specific objectives, establishing Subsystem Target Specifications (SSTS) to guide the development process across all vehicle systems.
  • Provide on-site support at production facilities, ensuring timely resolution and cross-functional coordination of vehicle performance-related challenges.
  • Oversee the identification and resolution of aftermarket performance issues, collaborating with stakeholders to confirm and implement necessary improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, automation, vehicle engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in the vehicle and system development process, with experience in vehicle performance development, including at least two full vehicle performance integration projects.
  • Well-versed in market-specific vehicle performance development requirements, along with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experienced driver, proficient in conducting vehicle performance evaluations from a simulated user perspective.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Prior work experience with a major automaker
