Responsibilities

  • Analyze failure mechanisms and time interval of autonomous driving sensors.
  • Develop models that simulate the impact of high temperatures, rain, snow, dust, etc., on sensor performance during vehicle operation, combining theory, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Develop failure models for related components and modules such as electronics, mechanics, optics, chips, heating, and cleaning systems.
  • Review experimental data, failure models, and lifetime assessments provided by suppliers, and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in reliability testing of autonomous driving sensors and work with the R&D team to improve designs.
  • Summarize and maintain sensor reliability documentation, support production data analysis, and assist with product quality and yield analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with more than five years of work experience, or master's degree with more than three years of work experience, preferably in reliability testing, modeling, or evaluation.
  • Strong background in mathematics, physics, and statistics.
  • Familiar with software development processes, proficient in using Python/MATLAB for modeling and data analysis, and able to read C/C++ code.
  • Strong technical communication skills and be a good team player.

Preferences

  • Experience in the reliability of LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, cameras, and other sensors.
  • Experience in the autonomous driving industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as SN 29500, IEC 62380, IEC 61709.
