Tensor officially introduced the Tensor Robocar to the United Kingdom last week at the 5th annual European AV Summit in London. The event marked the first time the vehicle has been showcased in the UK, following its global launch announcement in August 2025.
During the summit, our CBO Hugo Fozzati presented Tensor’s approach to agentic and physical AI to the attendees. Following the presentation, the Robocar was on display outside the venue, where we walked attendees through the vehicle’s core features and design.
The showcase provided an opportunity for regulators, insurers, and industry partners to interact with a production-ready Level 4 autonomous vehicle designed specifically for personal ownership.
A central focus of the display was the world’s first foldable steering wheel, a system co-developed with Autoliv.
This feature is a cornerstone of Tensor’s dual-mode strategy, which prioritizes owner agency. Because the Robocar is a personal vehicle and not a robotaxi, it is engineered to give the owner the choice to either drive manually or be driven autonomously.
The London debut is a significant milestone in Tensor’s expansion into the European market. As the UK and EU continue to develop the regulatory roadmaps for autonomous transport, Tensor is positioned to provide the technical evidence needed for safe, private L4 deployment.
